Google, one of the most powerful company in Internet industry announced Chrome beta today (03/09/2008), which has simple interface but very fast rendering engine (It looks like Chrome uses same engine as what Safari uses), true multi-processing.
But unfortunately it can only be installed on either Windows XP or Windows Vista - I've tried to install into my old Win2k box but I couldn't install it, neither linux box. Also it doesn't give you any warning on JavaScript errors - Both IE & Firefox warns you if there's any Javascript errors.
Goods:
- Has very fast rendering pages
- In the cases program crash, it shuts down only a single tab
- When you run the Chrome, it should most visited page
Bads:
- Uses quite a lot of resource compare to Firefox
- Hard to debug in the cases of Javascript errors
