In the cases you might have to change the Lancard but it will shows as eth1, eth2 whatever rather then eth0 as you change the lan card.

You can re-initialize interface name back to eth0 by doing a simple steps:

Quote:
1. cd /etc/udev/rules.d
2. open xx-persistent-net.rules (70-persisten-net.rules on mine)
3. Delete or comment out SUBSYSTEM parts
4. Restart your machine & check again

By the following the steps above, you'll notice eth1, eth2 whatever will be changed to eth0.
