X-lite is provided by Counter Path (http://www.counterpath.com), designed to allow people to demo some of the features for selling products.
Its not a fully functional nor open sourced sip client but it is very reliable and highly recommended by most of SIP providers.
There are some restrictions such as you can only register 1 account at a time and cannot transfer the calls or initiate conference calls between 3 parties, but if you purchase eyeBeam or Bria from CounterPath then you
can use these functions.
